Absolutely EVERYONE is welcome to attend to learn the basics
The course is a 2 hour canter through some of the laws of cricket which umpires players and coaches come across regularly and which anyone involved in cricket should know about.
The course concentrates on the laws on No balls and lbws but also covers wides and other ways of being out. There is no test but all participants get a certificate of attendance.
Who knows some of you may be so enthused by the course that you want to take up umpiring neutrally at weekend in which case there is a much longer and more detailed course available
