Unfortunately injuries have taken their toll on long serving fast bowler Darren Lewis and he's decided to retire with immediate effect.

Playing for Glenrothes has been a great experience.
- Darren Lewis, 2nd XI Captain

Darren (39) joins a growing list of players who have retired from the club during the close season.

He commented; "I've thought about this long and hard over the Winter and whilst playing for Glenrothes has been a great experience, the aches and pains my body seems to suffer has helped make up my mind to call it a day".

With another every week player like Darren retiring from the game the clubs need to attract new players has never been greater if we are to be able to field 4 teams every Saturday next season. Anyone interested in taking up the game or joining Glenrothes CC should contact Graham Dodds on 07825043194.
