Following a hugely impressive campaign under Craig Gould in 2014 the team will be skippered by Andy Muir for the 2015 season. Last time or the GCC 3rd XI claimed the ESCA Division 8 title with only a single defeat and Andy and the team will be looking to push for promotion again this year.

Upon being appointed Andy immediately installed all rounder Brett Wardle as his vice captain and Brett had this to say; "We are both extremely honoured to be given the opportunity to fulfil the roles of Captain and Vice Captain of the 3rd XI for the season ahead. We look forward to carrying on the progression of the team from last year and our goal will be to try and gain back to back promotions after last years success by playing an expansive and exciting brand of cricket."

Club Chairman Alasdair Sim added; "It's great to see such experienced heads leading the 3rd XI for the upcoming season. Andy and Brett both have plenty left in the tank, and between them have a huge number of GCC runs and wickets behind them, with doubtless more to come. A double act that will bring an excellent team spirit to the 3s and hopefully lead the side to another title winning season."
