The reward scheme is structured by our club sponsors to reward GCC players for both loyal participation and performance, with some slight revisions (below) for 2012. The rewards will be funded fully and exclusively by LiveSport.co.uk in conjunction with ASDA supermarket.
16/01/2013 UPDATE - This reward scheme has been discontinued and will not apply for the 2013 season.
Important Note: Given the fact that all memberships should be paid prior to the first ESCA weekend of the season; anyone not having paid for one of the club membership options in full by 28th April 2012 will be excluded from the scheme for the entire season. Any new members who join the club during the season will have 2 weeks to pay for membership should they wish to take part in the reward scheme.
Availability Rewards:
Performance Rewards:
> Batting
> Bowling
> Fielding
All rewards are subject to the following terms and conditions:
(1) At the start of the season the selection committee will determine a list of marquee players for the season ahead, these players will not personally gain from batting, bowling or fielding awards if they play in a 2nd XI fixture. In such an instance then any vouchers earned will be donated to the club. The availability reward however will still be allotted to the player regardless of which team they play for.
(2) Rewards are applicable for all ESCA and FCU fixtures. Any FCU reward achieved by a marquee player would be awarded at 50% of the value. For example the accumulator runs/wickets achieved in an FCU match would be added to the players total at half the actual total. In the same circumstances Bonus Rewards would still be paid upon the achievement but at half the value. The only exception would be Availability Rewards, which would still be paid at full value regardless of playing 2 games in a single weekend.
(3) 2011/12 Season tops (LiveSport.co.uk sponsored/subsidised) must be worn for performances to count.
(4) All awards are at the team captains’ discretion and should NOT be to the detriment of the team.
(5) The Bonus Rewards are payable at the maximum rate stated, regardless of whether you take 10 wickets, take 6 catches or score 200 runs in a single innings.
(6) All rewards will be paid in ASDA shopping vouchers.
(7) Vouchers will be issued within 7 days of a bonus claim; you can collect vouchers from Craig Gould.
(8) If a ball is bowled in a game, that game counts towards the availability reward.
(9) Trophies awarded at the 2012 Presentation Dinner will also include a bonus by way of ASDA shopping vouchers.
(10) Due to the interaction of our Saturday 3rd XI it has been decided to merge accumulator and bonus rewards with the FCU Sunday fixtures. Therefore if a player scores/takes wickets etc in either team the totals are combined towards the reward milestones. In terms of availability rewards, if someone plays in 3rd XI on Saturday and then can't play in the FCU on Sunday (i.e. only 1 game per weekend) won't mean a break in their consecutive total. At same time if someone plays in both matches then they would gain 2 appearances towards their total.
