GCC Director of Coaching Graham Dodds Snr has resigned from his position and all his others roles at the club with immediate effect.

Graham's decision to resign comes as a considerable blow to the club as 2016 season draws ever closer.
- Kenny Crichton, Club Chairman

With huge reluctance the club are disappointed to announce this evening that the ultimate cricket enthusiast Graham Dodds Snr has stood down from his role as Director of Cricket.

Citing personal reasons Graham has also relinquished his position as 4th XI Captain and will take an indefinite break from coaching and playing.

Club Chairman Kenny Crichton commented; "This resignation comes as a considerable blow to the club as a new season draws ever closer. Doddsy has been an inspiration to many and he was as excited as anyone at the club about getting back on the field."

"He has worked tirelessly for the club since returning to us from Largo CC a few years ago and was awarded the Ramsay Award (Club Person of Year) in 2015 following his incredible efforts."

"His overall commitment has been incredible but his work with the Gladiators, Coaches and Indoor Training will mean there are big footsteps to fill for his successor".

"The door is always open to Graham on a return to club and we all hope we haven't seen the last of him as a coach and player".

Graham's resignation is a further blow to our efforts to field 4 x 11-a-side teams for the 2016 season.
