Gordon Hobbs will be managing the league once again and aims to have the points updated by Monday or Tuesday each week throughout the season, basically just as soon as the skippers get the scorecards on the GCC website.

As a fund-raiser for the club entry this year will be £20 per team, with half the total collected going to the club and the other half to be divided up for whoever finishes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the final table. The Prize Pot will be confirmed after entries close on Friday 9th May.

Please keep in mind it’s really just for fun and I’m well aware the valuations given to some players caused a bit of debate last season. This time out we’ve based the values on last season's performances and we’ve also made sure there are considerably less All Rounders (as the system only allows 1 per team); this means that some of the clubs perfectly genuine All Rounders have been classified as Batsman or Bowlers – please don’t take offence if we’ve set you as a batsman and you see yourself as more of a bowler, or vice versa.

I’m hoping to see a good number of sign-ups once again. Fantasy League points will be calculated from CSL, ESCA and SPCU matches only – basically GCC 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, 4th XI and 5th XI matches. Friendlies, Cup, FCU and FifeT20 will not count towards the points! Therefore the first round of scoring matches is the weekend of 26/27 April and the closing date for entries will be at 8pm on Friday 9th May, just before the 3rd round of fixtures.
