Gladiators Review of the Year

Many thanks to everyone for a great 2022 season with the Gladiators! The commitment and real engagement shown by everyone throughout all the sessions, games and activities was excellent to see.

It was though a mixed season - we had so many highlights and great commitment shown by all the Gladiators, but we unfortunately missed out on a lot of games, more often because other teams were unable to raise a side or they had to reschedule because of conflicts. But we definitely had a good time in all the games played!

As well as many individual highlights, a massive moment for the club was in pulling together a dedicated Under 16s cricket squad - the first time in many a year that has happened! We also saw many of the players in that squad continuing to progress within senior level cricket, and they received great plaudits and support at all times!

We are also immensely proud Karthik Coppisetty and Muhammad Tayyiub who won the 2nd XI Batter and Bowler of the Year at senior level respectively - very well deserved for the improvements and maturity in their game.

It is so crucial though that as a club we continue to provide welcoming and inclusive environments for everyone to enjoy their cricket, so ensuring we place our core values of fun, enjoyment and respect at the heart of everything we do going forward is critical.
