Hutch has most recently played his cricket in GCC 4th XI where last season he bowled as tight as ever and also did a couple of fine stints behind the stumps.

He told the club, "Because of my Parkinson's I won't be able to perform to the level I know I'm capable of so that's confirmed my decision to retire."

Admin Director Craig Gould commented, "I sincerely hope this illness does not restrict Alan's quality of life too much in the coming years and we still hope to see him next season at the Gilvenbank supporting the various teams he has played in at the club through the years".
