In what's becoming an almost daily report, Glenrothes Cricket Club has been hit by vandals yet again.

For the fourth time in less than 10 days the club are sorry to report another bout of vandalism.

Again water pipes have been destroyed in addition to more holes in club netting and failed attempts to break-in to equipment stores.

This time they went a step further by smashing up fences and sewerage works as well as trying to ram cricket sightscreens in to cabins. One of our sightscreens has been badly damaged by ramming it in to a park bench, the bench has also been knocked off its sockets.

The remaining CCTV security cameras, all of which have already had their internal elements removed, were pulled off. Attempts were also made to damage the clubs steel pitch covers with sizeable dents now on each segment.

Club officials are set to meet police and council representatives today and will now have a fourth spate of vandalism to add to the agenda.
