Key discussion points from latest meeting

The Glenrothes Cricket Club (GCC) Interim Management Team are working hard to sustain the day to day running of the club but more importantly to look at longer term strategic and operational improvements needed to embed a sustainable future for the club.

The team met on Thursday 13th January 2022 to review progress made so far in overhauling the clubs operational policies and procedures. This included work on a redrafted constitution, clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the committee and defining proposed membership types and associated fees that should be charged.

We also had additional issues to discuss such as ways of enhancing our fundraising approaches and what we need to do to prepare for the upcoming season (e.g. ground preparations, indoor training etc).

There was also implicit understanding of the need to support every single person within the club through providing a positive, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone to thrive. We were particularly grateful to Ross Taylor from Active Fife who attended and gave us some very helpful insights around this type of theme.

If you would like to find out more about what was discussed then please just get in touch and we can share the draft minutes from the meeting. If you would like to attend the next meeting or raise an issue for discussion, then next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 17th February 2022.
