John brought a close to his playing days in June following a 57 year career [ read more ] but it is hoped he will don his whites one last time alongside players he has shared the field over the years.

A 40 over contest is planned with a 1pm start alongside the back drop of family fun events at pitch side. The JB XI will be formed with a mix of players from the clubs past and present to take on a GCC XI.

Invitations to play in the match will be sent by the clubs management team shortly via email and we'd hope those invited will take up the chance to play with John at the clubs new home.
