With our first pre-season friendly against Dunfermline & Carnegie cancelled and more rain still forecast for Saturday, some of our senior players and a couple of guests were grateful to get time on the indoor 3G pitch at the MIchael Woods Sports Centre instead.

A 16 over match between Team Qasim and Team Mayank was full of good cricket but even better was hearing lots of cheers too! It was to be an exciting finish, as Team Qasim went into the last over 4 runs behind and they were to nudge ahead with two balls to go.

But this was a full 16 overs game so players were reminded to bat on as another wicket lost would lead to penalty runs. Yip, you guessed it, next ball wicket and Team Qasim are now one run behind! But a scrambled run off the last ball so scores tied.

A quick turnaround for a second five over game saw Team Qasim gain revenge though with a close victory.
