Grass clippings clearance on the Ramsay Oval

If you don't help then there's no game!
- Joe Burton, GCC Chairperson

We are extremely grateful to the Grounds Maintenance Services team at Fife Council for cutting the grass on the Ramsay Oval at Gilvenbank Park today, which will enable us to provide more cricket activities and also make the park more welcoming for others.

But it has meant the ground is now covered in a sea of grass clippings and so pretty much unusable for now.

Our never-resting grounds volunteer group of Paul, Nic, Joe and John have been out tonight and made a great start in clearing some of the clippings. But we need our members to put their hand up to help rake and clear as much of the remaining clippings as possible.

Anyone that can help on Wednesday evening (whilst we have a team playing a T20 friendly at Largo), Thursday evening (foregoing training time) or on Friday afternoon and evening would be hugely appreciated.

This will allow us to have both grounds available for a double-header at Gilvenbank this Saturday with the 1st XI playing Dundee HSFP 2nd XI in the Breedon Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union Division 2 and our 2nd XI playing a combined Kinloch 3rd and 4th XI in a friendly.

Please do your bit to help your club!
