Glenrothes young Gladiators played there first game of the season at home to a slightly more experienced Largo side.
Kartik Skippered the side for the first time on a night of firsts.
On losing the toss the Gladiators were invited to bat and all batsmen scored a few runs with Mason in particular scoring a few boundaries, due to the fact we were a player down the skipper for the night made a smart move and let Mason bat twice.
Runs came from all of the other batsmen to , unfortunately a few wicket were lost from a few shots played across the line.
At the end of 16 Overs The Gladiators had scored 57 for 9 , a few adult teams would take that as a score.
But plenty to work on but a great start of a journey for these young guys.
Now on to the second part of the game.
Bowling and fielding in the cold.
First ever wickets for Glenrothes Gladiators by Robert, Tommy, Ben, Kartik, Logan and Mason.
Great to see the excitement in these young gladiators when they took wickets and also even greater to see these young men clap when the other side hit a good shot.
A few throws at the stumps and on other nights these might of hit, this time around they created over throws but again something to work on.
Largo won the game quiet comfortably but its not all about the result.
All in all a top night of under 11 cricket .Thank you to Coach Chris for looking after the youngsters and thank you to Ian Scott for bringing Largo to Gilvenbank.
Next match is against Dunfermline and Head coach Ben will be in touch soon with his team selection.
