Davidson shine's on a cold dull day
Glenrothes welcome Morton to Gilvenbank for match day 2 in esca div 7.
Captain Muir won the toss and put Morton into bat .After a good tight start the breakthrough came in the 10over with Davidson demolishing the stumps the very next over fellow opener Glen does the same Morton 19 for 2.Change of bowlers same result 2 more wickets in 2 balls from big Brett but alas no hat trick ball.4 down and looking good wickets falling regularly with some great bowling and excellent fielding meaning Morton only managing 3 boundaries.Big Des in his last over gets a well deserved wicket and
Morris picking up 2 Morton 7 down now . Change of bowler Willie Morrison fresh out of retirement again take's 2 wicket's in last 2 balls of over then first ball of next over Morris gets his 3 wicket and Morton 83 all out leaving Willie on a hat trick next time he bowls.
Morrison and Glen open the batting for Glens reply . Sadly Glen chops on for 1 in second over but little did we know it would be a good thing as in walks Jordan Davidson and with good support from Willie proceeds to smash the ball to every part of the ground
and within 9 overs has reached 62 not out and its game over Glens 86 for 1.
A great team performance on a very cold day with all six bowlers talking wickets and Jordan for all the batting.
