Glens too strong for westie,s
Captain muir wins the toss and puts West Lothian into bat.
After a bright start glens finally make the breakthrough with the young opener hitting the ball onto his own leg and back onto the stumps 41 for 1. Change of bowling and Morris replacing an out of sorts Mcauley and quickly bags two wickets second one courtesy of a great catch in slips from Andy McAuley.Big Brett on at the other end the run rate slows and at drinks West Lothian are 66 for 3. West Lothian start to push the run rate on and we're looking good until Brett runs out West Lothian captain with a direct shy at the stumps.whitton and Graham steadily take the Westies upto 160 and looking good but after a change of ends new player Faiz Rahman gets the big wicket of Whitton for a classy 58 a collapse follows and West Lothian all out for 168.
Openers Glen and Morrison stride out to the middle but Willie is quickly back in the pavilion for 0 lbw but Glen and new batsman Nathan salt calm any nerves quickly putting away any bad balls and moving the score on with ease.
Glens loose there second wit Nathan bowled by Cairn,s 91 for 2 Brett in next a few overs later and just before drinks Glen out for a fine 65 . Muir in next and he and Brett easily reached the target of 169 with 10 overs to spare Brett finishing on 47 not out on hir birthday.
A great performance with ball and bat and some excellent fielding and a special mention to West Lothian for a good game played in the right spirt and nice too see so many youngsters playing .
