Juniors aren't just the future, they are everything great right now!!

We finally drew to a close our junior cricket outdoor season today, though it was still great to see a great group of kids so keen to keep playing in to October!!!

The softball cricketers took great delight in learning about the range of protective equipment that batters use, and took the chance to practice in the nets. Quite a few stiff-kneed attempts at running, but all coped really well.

Whilst our official training programme has come to an end, there is still desire from some to keep going so we may yet see the occasional net taking place! We will also be considering what indoor cricket activities we can offer over the winter, so please do keep an eye out for information as and when released!

The progress made across the year by all of the young stars was fantastic to see and it was very evident that both their techniques and confidence was improving all the time. But more than that, the level of friendship, the support shown to others and just a commitment to having fun was fantastic to see.

Thanks go to all the volunteers who provided coaching and administrative support over the summer, to Glenrothes Cricket Club and Gilvenbank Community Sport Hub for the great direction and facilities they provide, to the parents, carers and other adults across the Gladiators community who continue to help build a positive and inclusive culture and of course to the Gladiators themselves who have been simply fantastic.
