The GCC Gladiators kick of the season with a WIN.

The GCC Gladiators kicked off the u11 season with an away fixture vs Largo in St Andrews on Sunday morning. The team left Glenrothes with rain all about but luckily it held off once we arrived and the match was able to go ahead.

The Gladiators team was put into field and performed well in the cold/slippery/wet conditions. Taking wickets regularly with accurate bowling which restricted Largo to 53 runs while losing 11 wickets, leaving them with a score 198. Particular highlights included Donovan Westwood who took a hatrick and the blanket on offer for our rolling sub as we featured 9 players.

The batsman all applied themselves well as the ball skidded along the astro surface and with a heavy outfield running between the wickets was crucial. Our batsman compiled a total of 72 runs for the loss of 8 wickets leaving us with a final score of 232.
