The fun day is unfortunately CANCELLED due to wet ground conditions and poor forecast. It is unclear if conditions will clear up but the 1st XI are going to wait it out a bit longer (at the ground) to see if they can play at least.
Glenrothes Cricket Club will be holding a Family Fun Day on Saturday 12 August at Gilvenbank Park, as a thanks to all those who have supported the club and to help raise awareness of the club amongst the wider community.
The senior teams have two cricket fixtures, with the 1st XI playing Largo 2nd XI on the Bell Oval and the 2nd playing Kinloch 4th XI on the Ramsay Oval. We are also hoping to play a "kid-ult" game (combined kids and adults) for those connected to the junior section Glenrothes Gladiators.
If you're not quite sure if cricket is for you then have a go in our practice nets with some cricket challenges laid out, and there will also be multi-sports kit such as soft archery from the Glenrothes Community Sports & Health Hub for more fun activities to try.
There will also be a couple of fundraising stalls such as home baking and tombola to support our ongoing fundraising initiatives to ensure firm foundations for our club, enhance the playing facilities and do our bit in maintaining the wider park to make it more welcoming for all.
Everyone is welcome, so please come along and find out more about our club and the wider sports hub - you'll be sure of a warm cricketing welcome.
