Noble Foods Backs the Gladiators in Growing Youth Cricket

Glenrothes Gladiators is the junior cricket programme of Glenrothes Cricket Club, based at Gilvenbank Park in the north of Glenrothes. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ignite a lifelong passion for cricket by promoting healthy lifestyles and nurturing a culture of fun, enjoyment, and respect.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated coaches and volunteers invest countless hours in coaching, mentoring, and managing the programme. Their commitment not only drives the Gladiators forward but also helps grow awareness and participation in cricket across Fife and beyond. Though we may be a small club in size, our reach and impact speak volumes.

One of our core values is inclusivity. We believe that no child should be excluded from sport due to financial barriers. That’s why we strive to keep our junior cricket activities affordable for all—and offer additional support to families who need it most.

That’s why we’re incredibly grateful to Noble Foods for their generous donation. This support will be significant in helping us sustain our goals and continue offering children and young people in our community the opportunity to lead active, healthy lives through cricket. The funding will go directly toward essential playing equipment and maintaining our facilities - ensuring Gilvenbank Park remains a welcoming space for everyone.

A special thank you goes to Graham Dodds of Noble Foods, whose efforts in arranging this funding - alongside his colleagues - are deeply appreciated. Graham and his wife Shirley played a pivotal role in establishing the Gladiators programme years ago, and today’s young cricketers continue to follow the path they helped pave.

From all of us at Glenrothes Gladiators: thank you for believing in our values and helping us make what we hope is a lasting difference to many young cricketers now and in the futrue.
