We are thrilled to share two exciting developments regarding our club’s participation in the Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union (SPCU) leagues for the 2026 season:

• 1st XI Promoted
Our 1st XI has officially accepted promotion to the North East Championship (NEC) — the second-highest tier of cricket in Scotland! This is a fantastic reward for their performances throughout the 2025 season though will be a huge challenge!
• Introducing Our Sunday XI
We’re expanding our senior setup with the launch of a third team, the Sunday XI, who will compete in the Recreational and Development (R&D) League. This move creates more opportunities for competitive cricket and supports our ongoing commitment to strengthening junior pathways.

These updates were confirmed today at the SPCU Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in Forfar. We also warmly welcome Clackmannanshire, Doune & Dunblane, and Scots Lions as new additions to the SPCU family.
