Club Constitution

Nic Krzyzanowski23 Mar 2024 - 18:25

Everyone should read to understand our club rules!

Our Constitution sets out the purpose and rules of Glenrothes Cricket Club, and helps to ensure smooth and proper running of the club affairs.

The club’s Constitution was substantially revised and adopted for use at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held in March 2022 with further amendments made at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in November 2022 covering issues such as the discrimination statement, ballot arrangements and office bearers.

A number of amendments were approved at the AGM held on 21 March 2024 which should help further strengthen the club’s operational arrangements.

  • Clause 3.a) updated to reflect a change of name for Cricket Scotland Council Limited
  • Clause 3.b) updated to reflect a change of name for Gilvenbank Community Sports Hub (operating name, but expected to be approved at an upcoming sports hub AGM)
  • Clause 4.d) membership information updated to reflect that membership fees will be set annually at an AGM and will be payable by 31 May each year
  • New section on Safeguarding, Inclusion and Conduct to clearly outline our expectations around codes of conduct and how these will be managed within the club and in line with other bodies

The addition of the section on inclusion is particularly important in our drive to make the club as welcoming and safe for everyone, in line with our cricketing values of fun, enjoyment and respect.

Please view the Constitution via the attached document, or you can find it in the Information section of our website.
