Following more than 10 years of service to the GCC committee Eddie Gibbs has advised the club that he will be stepping down from all his positions.

Eddie Gibbs who has a played a major part in the growth of Glenrothes Cricket Club in recent times has advised the club that he will be stepping down from his roles as Communications Director and Interim Chairman.

Commenting on his decision, Eddie stated. "It's been a crazy and very busy few years, and in the main has been a lot of fun. Our 60th Anniversary year has been a big success and culminated with the 1st XI finishing in their highest ever league position within the Scottish cricket pyramid".

"My business commitments have somewhat intensified of late and the work required to run GCC is all encompassing. Essentially, running the club had become a full-time commitment throughout the year for me and with time now in such short supply, I feel it's in the clubs' best interests for me to make way for others".

"I'll still look to support the club however I can, there are some fantastically committed people on the committee at our club who go above and beyond for GCC and I'm confident the club is in safe hands."

The Glenrothes Cricket Club AGM will take place at Cluny Activities at 1pm on Sunday 3rd December 2017 and we hope to see all members in attendance to help plan for what will undoubtedly be a busy a 2018.
