The Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union (SPCU) has released the league fixtures for the upcoming season, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the club’s most exciting summers in recent years.

This year the club will field three senior XIs, reflecting both growing numbers and growing ambition.

• The 1st XI will compete in the North East Championship (NEC), looking to build on last season’s progress.
• The 2nd XI continue their journey in Division 3, aiming for a strong showing against both familiar and new cricketing friends.
• A brand‑new Sunday XI joins the fold, entering the Recreational and Development (R&D) League and offering more opportunities for players to enjoy competitive cricket.

The league season starts on Saturday with the 2nd XI hosting newcomers Clackmannanshire 2nd XI in Division 3, and the following Saturday sees the travel make the long trip north to play Huntly in the NEC.

With more teams, more cricket, and more opportunities across the club, anticipation is already building. The release of the fixtures marks the first step toward what promises to be a huge season ahead.
