After the disappointing decision to withdraw our 2nd XI from league cricket last season, we are delighted to have been accepted back into the Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union (SPCU) Division 2 for 2024.

The SPCU Division 2 fixtures for the upcoming season have now been released, with Glenrothes 2nd XI starting with hosting the Tay Lions (a Sri Lankan community club who are based at Glendelvine) on Saturday 4 May.

With 14 teams in Division 2 it wasn't possible to fit in playing each team twice on a Home and Away basis. So we instead play each team once and then play three random teams (Meigle 2s, Perth Doo'cot 3s, and Strathmore 2s) a second time.

Along with the Tay Lions it's great to see other clubs and teams joining the SPCU this season - Strathmore 2s, Perth Doo'cot 3s, Masterblasters (from Aberdeen) and St Modans 2s.
