Hardball cricket with Glenrothes Gladiators for those starting to develop more sophisticated batting, bowling and fielding skills. These games will typically be held on Monday evenings, and will be 8 or 9-a-side T20 (Twenty-Twenty, meaning each team bats for 20 overs). Batters will retire after reaching 30 runs (or facing 20 balls if preferred), but may return when all others have batted in the order they retired. Everyone will get the chance to bowl. Games will be played with a youth-sized hardball with full protective equipment to be worn (pads, thigh-guard, box, gloves, arm-guard and helmet). Reminder to wear pants or boxers with a slip-in pouch to hold the "box" (abdominal guard). The club can provide all equipment, but players are welcome to use their own. NOTE we are not currently running a U14 team but we are hoping to work with other local clubs if we can to give game-time opportunity.
