Glenrothes welcomed Perth Doo’cot to Gilvenbank Park on Sunday for the penultimate round of fixtures in the SPCU Recreational & Development League. Skipper Ben Krzyzanowski won the toss and chose to bat first.

The top order all made steady starts, with young Joe Myles top‑scoring with a composed 31. A middle‑order wobble threatened to stall the innings, but Anas Tanveer played with his continuing maturity, finishing 25 not out to guide Glenrothes to 141 for 9 from their 35 overs. For Perth, youngster Riley Taylor deserved great credit, taking an excellent 4 for 20 with the new ball.

Perth Doo’cot sent out their big hitters early, though Glenrothes struck quickly - Vaibhav Parikh well caught by keeper Qamar Ilyas off Saran Kumar Karavadhi. Number three Obaidrahman Taniwal looked to attack but found more air than contact, before Wahab Tawheedi tempted opener Abdul Basit Nasari into a big swing that ended in a superb long‑on catch by Myles.

Karavadhi added a second with a caught‑and‑bowled, and Myles then claimed a wicket of his own - this time thanks to a tumbling deep mid‑wicket catch from Mayank Sautiyal.

Veteran Colin Jennings showed his trademark composure, nudging the good balls away and punishing anything on line on his way to 42. But Tanveer returned to turn the game decisively, taking four wickets in a clever spell. With Jennings run out by a direct hit from Myles at fly slip, Perth’s chase slipped away, and Glenrothes closed out a 28‑run victory.
