Skipper Greig Hopcroft won the toss and elected to bowl first on a decent looking surface.
Dundee were quickly on the backfoot at 28 for 3 after the 1st 10 overs. However this then brought their professional in to join overseas amateur Singye and the two recovered the situation pretty well dispatching the bad balls and picking up singles where possible. They rode their luck a little with a couple of dropped chances, however the luck eventually ran out when Strachan was out caught for a fine 66 runs from the bowling of Ryan Watson. Singye continued to keep the score ticking and batted to the last ball when he was out caught for 49. Dundee finished on 185 for 9 from their 50 overs.
Pick of the bowlers were Jatinder Pal with 3 for 29, Kenny Crichton with 2 for 20 and Ryan Watson with 2 for 29
In reply openers Greig Hopcroft and Chris Greaves made a good start in the chase with a 49 opening partnership before Greaves chased a wide delivery out for 25. Hopcroft and Robbie Wright continued putting the ball away and too the score to 98 (another 49 partnership) before Hopcroft was out for 57 caught in the deep. Wright and Ryan Watson then took Glenrothes to the brink of victory with a 55 run partnership, however Wright was out for 48 with only 16 runs required. Watson then saw the team over the line with a fine 37 not out, finishing the match with a big straight drive for 6; and Glenrothes won with 3 overs remaining.
Another excellent win to make it 3 wins out of 3 in their 1st season in the CSL. Next week is a home tie with West Lothian.
