Skipper Greig Hopcroft won the toss and elected to bat first on a used but decent looking wicket. Some tight bowling by the RHC bowlers limited Glenrothes to very few openings - whilst taking wickets at crucial points.
Greaves scored a well made 50 and Robinson was left stranded on 49 not out at the end with Glenrothes making 185 all out.
In reply Glenrothes made a good start limiting the runs and again managing a couple of early wickets. Then potentially a game changing moment when the RHC Aussie was caught behind, but was given not out as the umpire couldn’t see or hear the incident. The aussie went on to make 50 along and with a couple of other batsmen saw RHC home with only 5 overs remaining. Glenrothes did manage to pick up 2 points in defeat which in the end kept them above RHC in the league table.
