Glens skipper C.Greaves lost the toss and were asked to bat first on a soft wicket which was not going to be easy to bat on.
It was up to Graeme Beghin and Greig Hopcroft to start things and after the first over already had 15 on the board, Unfortunately Greig was given LBW in the 5th over with the score on 25, this brought Chris to the crease who along with Graeme batted carefully taking the score to 45 of 15 overs before Graeme was caught for 24. Next in was Ben Wilkinson who unfortunately never got going and was caught for 6, the score now 76/3 and Ryan Watson walked out to join Chris with both batting very well and putting on a 88 run partnership with both passing 50 before Ryan was clean bowled for 54. Next out was Chris in the 49th over for a very good knock of 75 continuing his good run of form lately. Robbie Wright(6 not out) and Fraser Gosse(4 not out) saw the innings out and Glens finished on 191/5 a very good total for this wicket.
Kenny and Jordan opened the bowling and kept it very tight with only 15 runs coming from the first 10 overs. Kenny bowled his 10 overs straight for figures of 4/11. West Lothian's innings never really got going and kept losing wickets at regular intervals with wickets for Scott(2/18)Jordan (1/12) Beghin(1/6) and Gosse(1/12) the last wicket fell to Ben Wilkinson who got a wicket with the only ball he bowled leaving West Lothian 73 all out.
It was a very good performance from Glenrothes in all areas Including some excellent fielding and good catches. Extra Thanks must go to the ladies committee who were there and cheered on the team and were very helpful doing an excellent job with the teas and drinks break which also included sliced up oranges!!
