It was always going to be tough to get a full days play in on Saturday and most were amazed we actually got started.
By 12 o clock the rain had not came to anything so Chris Greaves won the toss and elected to bowl. Kenny and Vasu opened up and the Edinburgh South openers got of to a flying start. Vasu eventually picked up the first wicket bowling Edinburgh South's overseas player. after this the wickets began to tumble with captain Chris Greaves picking up 7/32 a truly remarkable return of bowling figures which skittled Edinburgh out for 123. 7 bowlers were used and rotated but it was Chris that done the damage, it was also good too see Graeme Beghin back bowling for the first time in 4 weeks due to a side strain he had picked up and with no problems should be back bowling again next week. There was an early teas taken at 100/8 as it started to rain pretty heavily.
After teas the rain had stopped but it was misty although the umpire thought play was possible to continue. Edinburgh South were furious at this decision and continued to make sure the umpire knew this. In the end the rain got too heavy and the game was abandoned with the Glens 28/1 with Chris Greaves being the only wicket, Robbie Wright walked out to bat but didn't get to face a ball as the rain came and the umpire called the players off.
