Glennrothes started there defence of the Fife Cup with a good win over Dunfermline. The Glens got off too a good start batting first with Graeme Beghin(39) and Kris Glen(26) putting on 62 in the first 7 overs. after the first wicket of Kris fell it all went badly with wickets falling at regular intervals only Vasu Reddy managed to steady the ship later on with 25 not out to guide Glenrothes to 125/9 of there 20 overs, a reachable score.
Unfortunately for Dunfermline the Glens bowlers were on top form and the batsman struggled to build partnerships, Dunfermline pro Waqas Ahmed came in at number 4 with the score on 22/2 and managed to hit 3 sixes and looked dangerous until he was caught behind for 37. A lot of tight bowling for Glenrothes especially from Graeme who went for only 6 runs from his 4 overs and Darren Lewis who went for 4 runs off his 3 overs. yet again it was a very good performance from Glenrothes in the field.
