Glenrothes won yet again to make it 12/12 in the ESCA Championship.
Batting first and after last week the top 3 of Greaves, Culley and Wright were in the runs again Greaves hitting his 3rd league century of the season with 119, Culley following up his 81* last week by hitting his second fifty in as many games and Robbie Wright following up his 56* last week with 40 this week. Unfortunately with the top 3 batting for so long it didn't give much chance to others who had to come in in the last 10 overs trying to get quick runs which wasn't easy. Fraser Gosse managed to hit a quick 18 to help GCC to 257/8 off their 50 overs.
Bowling and GCC got off to the perfect start with Robbie Wright picking up a wicket in the second over and Riwan Akbar a wicket in the third over. Hudson and Gosse were the first change bowlers with Gosse getting only his second bowl of the season due to keeping duties. He bowled well though with consistent line but unfortunately no wicket. Hudson bowled his 10 overs straight to end up with figures of 3/37. Greaves came on and followed his form with the bat with some form with the ball also picking up 3 wickets before the ever economical Rizwan coming back on to get his second wicket to finish with 7-3-5-2. With the score on 99 Rizwan got the last wicket with a run out.
