After an early start for both players and supporters the GCC bus arrived with the sun shinning at a beautiful Nunholm.
GCC captain Kenny Crichton once again lost the toss with Dumfries deciding to have a bat first.
GCC took the field in their bright yellow kit with Rizwan Akbar taken the new ball picking up the early wicket of seasoned Dumfries player Scott Beveridge in the first over. This was the start of a great individual bowling performance from Rizwan finishing with figures of 6-16 in his 5 overs. Kenny Crichton, Robbie Wright and Guy Hudson all also picking up wickets with overseas player Keegan Rawling taking four good catches behind the stumps. Dumfries all out for only 50.
In form opener Chris Greaves and newbie Roy opened the batting for GCC who were gifted five wide's of the first ball of the innings. Both played with great intent completing the run chase in only 3.3 overs with Chris Greaves finishing on 30* and Roy 9*.
Special mentioned to the GCC supporters who made the journey bringing with them plenty encouragement and the odd mexican wave from the boundary.
