On a cold and dull evening at Gilvenbank Kenny Crichton, 1st XI captain won his first toss of the season, electing to bat first on a soft and slow wicket.

Chris Greaves was well supported in the middle by Greig Hopcroft, Guy Hudson, Keegan Rawling and Ben Wilkinson as he continued his great form with the bat scoring 84 not out, leading GCC to 147-3.

Freuchie's Innings never really got going as only two batsmen got into doubles figures as GCC bowlers kept the run rate at bay. Pick of the bowlers were Graham Dodds Jnr with figures of 2-21 from his 4 overs. Freuchie finished on 66-8 from there 20 overs.
