A forecast of non-stop rain played the backdrop to Glenrothes' visit to Doo'cot Park in Perth on Saturday.

With other games falling victim to the rain before any play was possible, Perth Doo'cot 2nd XI were at least able to bat the majority of the first innings - with some style at that.

Two wickets to Ben Krzyzanowski, with another couple lost to dropped catches, and four more to other bowlers could not match the batting strength of Perth Doo'cot - aided by a profligacy of wides and gaps in the field.

But the latest of several rain break as the first innings was coming to a close was to prove the end as the match was abandoned.
