Glenrothes came out second best against Dunfermline & Carnegie in the Fife Cup on Tuesday.
Having won the toss, Glens skipper Qasim Ahmad invited Dunfermline to bat first.
Bimal Nalupurakkal Balan took an early wicket but it was Kevin Le Roux with three wickets in his fourth over to turn the game.
We'd tell you the scores and batters names, but the scorecard was awful - but two batters in the middle order scored excellent half centuries to turn the game back Dunfermline's way.
Balan was to take two further wickets, though the scorecard says otherwise to finish with three for 23 but was just pipped for best bowling by Le Roux with three for 22!
Dunfermline finished on 157 for six from their 20 overs give or take (well, take off) 10 runs. But a number of dropped catches and sloppy fielding by Glens should have kept the score much lower.
Glens opened the second innings with Govind Singh and Sufyan Ahmed, and both soon got the scoreboard ticking over. But having reached 30 in the fourth over, Ahmed (18) was caught to a good stretching catch at mid-off going for one shot too many.
Further wickets were too fall, with Singh falling just short of his "NIP" (name in paper) with 29 then Balan grasping that NIP with 30!
Contrasting feedback about bowlers names from the fielding team and their supporters on the sideline meant full clarity on the wicket-takers wasn't captured, though good bowling across them all saw them close out the game to win by 36 runs.
Best of luck to Dunfermline on Finals Day.
